Did you not recite the pledge like a prayer every other day in the morning sun?
Did you put your hands out just because the teacher said so?
Do you regard your cultural heritage as the source of your strength?
Say this line again..
"I pay homage to my cultural heritage the source of my strength."
Taking ownership of your linguistic identity by teaching or learning your language or simply learning its alphabet is something everyone in PNG can do.
This simple act can be a step toward paying respect one's linguistic heritage and language is part of one's cultural heritage.
We hope to create a post on PNG language alphabets soon.
